These lorikeets often have a play in the guttering after a rain.
Lorikeets usually fly and feed on very tall native plants. I was lucky to have
captured this one feeding on a grevillea shrub.
I love watching lorikeets because they are such larrikins.
I find them hard to capture though as they usually perch too high for my A550 to handle. This one is on a lower branch (but still had to delete plenty of blurry ones.)
It seems the lost budgie we found two weeks ago has attracted a pair of lorikeets to the area. We can't get a peep out of her when she's in the unit, but she chirps to her heart's content when out on the verandah.
