Years 3 to 6 were meant to have their swimming carnival today.

It has already been postponed once, and had to be postponed again today.

It rained this past week and these flowers show the different stages

of growth that appeared on the same shrub.

A cool place in which to sit on a hot autumn day.

The proteaceae flowers against the azure sky caught my eye today.

(Camellia x vernalis)

I like the delicate centre of this flower.

(Please let me know if I've incorrectly named this flower.)

The gardens on our school grounds are filled with a variety of plants.

I thought I might begin taking photos of them to learn their names and types.

This palm grows on our school grounds and I have

never noticed it before when I've sat across the street in the park.

As with most plants I had to google 'succulents' to find

out the type. This is called a jade plant.

The patterns of leaf veins remind me of the veins on a dragonfly's wings.

I parked my car under this bottlebrush tree today. The bottlebrush is another Australian native plant.
