Searching for trees whose leaves change colour in the autumn is not an easy thing here.
I like this photo for Mother's Day because the shorter daisies look like they are aspiring to reach the level of the taller one_ she being the role model as are many mum's out there are role models for their children.
We had quite a bit of rain during the second week of the holidays,
which probably helped the spinach in our school garden to grow this well.
Today was grey day. It rained incessantly all afternoon
and into the night. These flowers from a neighbouring
garden added a splash of colour to my day.

The Banksia was named after Sir Joseph Banks, an English botanist,
who journeyed to the Great South Land in 1770
with Captain James Cook, on the Endeavour.
I hope to take another photo when these are ripe. I hope mum doesn't
have them picked before I get that chance.
I love watching lorikeets because they are such larrikins.
I find them hard to capture though as they usually perch too high for my A550 to handle. This one is on a lower branch (but still had to delete plenty of blurry ones.)
