I like this photo for Mother's Day because the shorter daisies look like they are aspiring to reach the level of the taller one_ she being the role model as are many mum's out there are role models for their children.
Today was school photo day. All staff looked their best and
all students wore full school uniform for their class photo.
They also had their portraits taken.
This evening a few of the Sydney edubloggers from twitterand I
went into Darling Harbour, to meet up with Sue Waters who was visiting from Perth.
It was fun meeting everyone in real life!
Today our school celebrated Harmony Day. For ten years Australia has celebrated
her diversity, as people have come to live in peace and harmony from all parts of the world.
In this photo the Bangladeshi dance group entertain us with their item.
The local repair and reuse co-operative celebrated it's tenth anniversary
this afternoon. The celebration also coincided with the opening
of the eco-library, located in the new mezzanine level.
Today, Year 3 and 4 visited Captain Cook's Landing Place in Kamay-Kurnell National Park as part of Our Fleeting Past unit.
We were shown some Australian Aboriginal artefacts. The Dharwal people from Botany Bay would make coolamons, from bark, to use either as a dish for gathering berries and other bush foods or as a baby basket.
Beside it is an axe, painted with ochre.
